Stone Seeds Unearthed
*now showing at Unify,
72 King St, Cambridge
STAGE ONE
Comprising of an installation
situated in the main foyer area of The Centre at St Pauls in Cambridge.
The installation features concrete
blocks supporting a large plant pot containing a mini-tv connected
to a VCR and two small speakers providing visual and audio stimulation.
The mini-tv plays continuous 'loops' of various key stages of the
Stone Seeds project to be updated on a regular basis.

Also growing from within the pot are four illustrations of the main
elements of Hip Hop culture presented as a spraycan, trainer, record
and microphone.
These illustrations have roots
working their way from the base of the pot, down the concrete blocks
and into an electrical mains junction. It is here that the roots
transform into a complex network of electrical wires symbolising
the flow of energy from the plant pot to various stages of the exhibition
situated throughout St Pauls.
