| The
culture of Graffiti art (technically termed "Writing") has been
evolving for over 30 years now. Starting from its initial roots
on the subway trains of New York City, it has spread exponentially
to become a vast international movement with members in almost
every city on Earth. With its own rules, media and agendas it
has proven to be a resourceful, proactive and determined force
and continues to encourage and empower young people round the
world. |
|
 |
| The
culture has matured to the point where it can longer be considered
as just a "kid's artform" although it retains its youthful vibrancy
and a continuous influx of younger exponents. These days there
are a large number of older members of the subculture and the
diversity of skills extends far beyond any possible definition:
typography, abstract art, character design, portraiture, photography,
graphics, animation. |

SIN
Cru is active in many areas of the modern graffiti scene. Whilst
maintaining traditional roots and activity in the scene, it
also produces high quality commercial work in the form of murals,
illustration, live performance and multimedia, and has a high
degree of expertise in organizing and executing such projects.
SIN has also run extensive workshops throughout the UK and in
Europe. It has become clear that graffiti is a powerful tool
to encourage interest in the arts and expression in general,
often in cases where more conventional outlets for creativity
fail to be inspirational. |
|
 |
| SIN
has strong ties to many of the world’s most acclaimed and skilled
graffiti artists and have worked directly with many both in
the UK and abroad. |
